Physical & Mental Health
Glen Ellyn Area Alumnae Chapter’s Physical & Mental Health programming encourages behavioral lifestyle changes for the physical, mental, and spiritual well being of African American women and their families and to address the challenges associated with achieving personal health success.
As an organization of predominantly African American women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is uniquely positioned to impact not only the well being of its membership, but also the well-being of families and communities at large. Journey to Wellness: Committing our Bodies to Physical and Mental Health is a signature Physical and Mental Health. The initiative addresses the challenges of living holistic and health lives. The three-pronged approach to Journey to Wellness includes:
- A refocused Lose to Win! To include Physical Activity and Healthy Eating
- Physical Health: Chronic Diseases and
- Mental Health
GEAAC annually collaborates with community partners to sponsor a Community Health Fair that targets under served minority populations. Our programs received award-winning recognition at our 53rd National Convention.
